Resolved: E-mail slow down

Every day our Anti-virus software updates on the e-mails servers. This morning’s updated caused a problem on smtp.psu.edu, psu.edu and lists.psu.edu. Any e-mail with an attachment was delayed. We also saw delays with other mail. This all started around 7:00 this morning and was working properly as of 9:30. We have verified that tomorrows update will not cause this problem. We are still investigating why this issue happened. No e-mail was lost.
