www.psu.edu and news.psu.edu redirect HTTP to HTTPS using permanent redirects

On Monday, June 25th between 5:00 and 7:00am, Penn State IT will redirect http://www.psu.edu to https://www.psu.edu and http://news.psu.edu to https://news.psu.edu using permanent (301) redirects.

These sites began redirecting HTTP to HTTPS using temporary (302) redirects on Monday, June 18th (see https://alerts.its.psu.edu/alert-5112 for details). This change makes the redirects permanent, which improves browsing speed and search engine rankings.
