Spokeo "people search" site has until next week to cough up $800,000
“People search engine” Spokeo has been fined US$800,000 by the FTC.
Spokeo is alleged to have sold consumer reports to companies in the human resources, background screening, and recruiting industries – in violation of Credit Reporting law.
