How is Bleep any more secure than other instant messenger apps?

Bleep is a messaging app by Bit-Torrent that just had the alpha go live for anyone who wants to try it out. It’s main selling point is that if you want to make sure that your IMs are private, you should use Bleep. What is done differently with Bleep to make your message any more secure than with other messaging applications?
