Resolved: Kerberos KDC fido.aset.psu.edu hardware problem

The Kerberos KDC server, fido.aset.psu.edu, was unavailable from about 2:30 p.m. to 2:55 p.m. During this time, authentication may have been slightly slower as clients who tried fido would timeout waiting for a response before trying the next KDC in the list. The other two KDC servers were working correctly. Staff determined the cause of the outage was due to a failed hardware component that was automatically removed from service.
