Wireless changes affecting Windows users
Windows users should install the latest version of the wireless software, SecureW2, on their Windows XP, Vista, and 7 laptops to avoid possible connection time out issues associated with increased security measures being implemented on the Penn State Wireless network.
SecureW2 software uses enhanced authentication and encryption methods and allows Windows users to easily connect to the “psu” network while on campus. Windows 8 and Mac operating system users are not affected by this change. Members of the Penn State community can download the latest version of the SecureW2 software free of charge at http://wireless.psu.edu/setup.
