WebAccess: reconfiguration of servers

Audience: This alert is primarily for administrators of Cosign-protected websites.

During the maintenance window (05:30 a.m. – 07:00 a.m.) of Tuesday, June 27, 2017, Enterprise IT will be changing the configuration of the WebAccess systems.

The current four separate servers will be changing to two servers in a High Availability arrangement with one IP address.

No immediate changes are required on your websites when this change goes into effect: the four servers will continue to function for at least a week after the change. When the change has been determined to be successful and will remain in place, administrators will be asked to restart their web servers to pick up the new IP address. Please check this alert for status updates.

Firewalls: if your web server has an outbound firewall restricting to which IP addresses it can connect via tcp port 6664, it should be updated now to include the new IP address (128.118.2.15).

This work is being tracking in Service Now CHG0042784.
