Update: Major Renovation Scheduled for Willard Fiber Optic Hub Facility
The Willard telecommunications facility renovations will begin this Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 11:00 PM. The renovation will now occur over the course of 12 nights (originally 11). Work will begin at 11:00 PM of the date listed below and be completed by 7:00 AM the following morning. As promised in our earlier posting, we have communicated with affected customers individually.
Phase 1 (6/14/2015) will require a disruption of the wireless and voice services (1 hour each) and Cable TV (8 hours) service, in the following buildings:
141 W. Beaver Ave, 224 S. Allen, 300 W. College, Allenway, ARL, Bag House, Calder Square I and II, Carnegie, College Avenue Annex, Deike, Downtown Theatre, Electrical Engineering East & West, Engineering Units A & B, Hammond, Hintz Alumni Center, Hosler, IST, James, James M Elliott, Marion Place, Noll Lab, Old Botany, Power Plant, Reber, Rider Building, Rider House, Sackett, Schwab Auditorium, Sparks, Steidle, The Towers, Walker, and Willard
In each of the subsequent phases, the following buildings may experience a disruption of data/wireless, VoIP, and Cable TV services. Please note that renovations will not occur Friday or Saturday nights.
June 15th: 300 W. College, James, Rider Building, Rider House, and Walker
June 16th: Engineering Units A, B, & D, Hammond, Hintz Alumni Center, and Sackett
June 17th: Carnegie, Old Botany, and Sparks
June 18th: Greenleaf, IST, and Walker
June 21th: Bag House, Electrical Engineering East & West, Hosler, and Power Plant
June 22nd: Electrical Engineering East & West, Hosler, and Reber
June 23rd: 224 S. Allen, Carnegie, James M Elliott, Marion Place, Sparks, and The Towers
June 24th: ARL, Deike, Hammond, and Noll Lab
June 25th: Sparks and Willard
June 28th: 141 W. Beaver Ave, Calder Square I & II, College Avenue Annex, and Downtown Theatre
June 29th: Willard
