Resolved: Mail Messages from Users with Yahoo Email Not Being Forwarded from ANGEL

An issue was discovered recently which affects users who have their email forwarding options in ANGEL set to a Yahoo email address. When ANGEL forwards a message along to users, it appears with a header “Sent on behalf of username@yahoo.com.” Yahoo’s change in their Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) policy earlier this year has prevented ANGEL course mail from being received by other users.

Users with a Yahoo email address set up as their forwarding address should be aware that their mail messages are not being received by users with their own respective course mail forwarded outside of ANGEL. The message is still received within ANGEL, however, so instructors are urged to encourage students to check their mail within the course regularly.
