Resolved: Fraudulent Call Influx on Penn State Phones

The SPAM calls have continued to increase again and we continue to monitor the situation. If you receive any new suspect fraudulent calls, please contact the IT Service Desk (itservicedesk@psu.edu or 814-865-HELP) and provide them with the caller\’s phone number along with the date and time of the call.

PEOPLE AND LOCATIONS IMPACTED:
All students, faculty, and staff who utilize a Penn State phone at all locations.

IT SERVICE(S) IMPACTED:
Fraudulent Call Influx on Penn State Phone Systems. This could impact all Penn State Penn State phone numbers.

Note: Penn State numbers are experiencing a high level of contact from an external number. Penn State IT is reviewing the issue and have contacted the appropriate organizations to discuss options.
