Resolved: Changes to ANGEL Login for Finals Week
Starting on Friday, May 1, students, faculty, and staff who use ANGEL will login to the system through the ANGEL homepage instead of WebAccess. As a result, the login page will look different from the usual WebAccess page. While users will still login using their Penn State user ID and password, the authentication will not be through WebAccess. This change is being made to help ensure the continuous availability of ANGEL during finals week as this is typically a peak usage period for ANGEL. Users should note that switching ANGEL away from WebAccess means that ANGEL will not be part of the single sign-on services during this time. As a result, users will be prompted to login again when moving between ANGEL and to/from other online Penn State services. Other single sign-on services, such as WebMail and eLion, will not be affected. The switch will begin at 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) Friday, May 1, and end after the final exam period is completed at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) Friday, May 8.
