PASS Upgrade on Saturday, Mar 4

On Saturday, March 4, during an extended maintenance window (8 AM – Noon) OVPIT will upgrade the /pass/services filesystem in PASS. This will upgrade it to the newer features of GPFS 4.1. In order to perform this upgrade, all services that rely upon it will become unavailable during the majority of the maintenance window, 8 AM – Noon. These services include, but are not limited to the following:
– Polaris web hosting (www.psu.edu, news.psu.edu, campus sites, launch.lionpath.psu.edu, etc.); these sites will be served in a read-only state from cache during the maintenance
– www.personal.psu.edu and protected.personal.psu.edu
– www.courses.psu.edu
– departmental Web hosting and virtual web hosting (www.psu.edu/dept will be served from cache during the maintenance)
– PASS Gateways (SMB/CIFS, NFS, Secure FTP)
– PASS Explorer, explorer.pass.psu.edu
– www.work.psu.edu
– wireless.psu.edu
– php.scripts.psu.edu
– UMG Manager (umg.its.psu.edu)
– Clubs Administration Console (admin.clubs.psu.edu)
– lists.psu.edu new list request form
– Personal web space request form
– Protect Access to COLA
– Keytab Generator
