Friends of Penn State (FPS) Kerberos Addition of AES Encryption Types

On Thursday, January 7, during the ITS Maintenance Window (5:00 – 7:00 a.m.), configuration of the FPS Kerberos realm will be updated to add AES256 and AES128 encryption type options.

FPS account password changes or resets made following the maintenance can then be authenticated against the FPS Kerberos authentication service using the stronger encryption types.

FPS account password changes and FPS account creation may not be accepted while maintenance is being performed.

The change is tracked in Service Now as CHG0034496.
