DCS Networking Alert: configuration change in data center networking

Data Center Services is planning to make changes to the network in Hershey on Friday 1/12/2018. Please find more information about the change below.

What is changing?
At 5:30am we will be reloading line cards in one of the UTC data center switches at Hershey campus. We are scheduling this on short notice to prevent the cards from reloading on their own during the day, due to multiple errors reported in the logs. While the reload process is approximately 15 minutes per card, it outage should only be momentary while the network re-converges.

Will this effect my services running in the data centers?
You may experience a very brief network outage while traffic moves to redundant paths.

What are the next steps?
We will let you know when this change is complete. There is nothing you need to do at this time.
