Course Submission and Consultation System to be updated July 3

On Tuesday, July 3, several minor updates will be made to the Course Submission and Consultation System (CSCS) within ANGEL.

Enhancements implemented

* Faculty Senate administrators will now only see proposals with a status of 9 (Faculty Senate review), 11 (approved), or 12 (rejected) in the My Course Submission & Consultation System component on their My Profile page in ANGEL. This will significantly reduce loading time.

* A number of text changes have been made.

* The submitter of a proposal will receive an e-mail notification when the proposal moves from a status of 7 (Dean of Graduate School Review) to a status of 8 (Graduate School Subcommittee Review), indicating that an action is required on his/her part.

* The “breadcrumb” navigation at the top left will be improved.

* When a college level group creator is adding a college proposal administrator using the College Proposal Administrator Members tool, the system will validate that a name has been entered.

* Faculty Senate administrators will be able to use an archive retrieval tool to retrieve an archived proposal and place it back into the live CSCS.

Issue fixed

* On the course designation page, the broken link for the course suffixes will be fixed.

Procedure changed

* The procedure for a proposal submitter to return a proposal with pending status to a required signatory after he/she has responded to comments has changed. Now, once the submitter responds to all required signatory comments and associated non-concur responses to formal consultation, the system will immediately ask if he/she would like to return the proposal to the required signatory.
