chat.psu.edu Certificate Change – October 20

On Tuesday, October 20, during the regularly scheduled maintenance window (5:00-7:00 a.m.), Information Technology Services (ITS) will update the chat.psu.edu certificate. The certificate is changing to SHA-2 from SHA-1. Users of chat.psu.edu should not notice a change, but if one is discovered this alert will be updated. This service may be unavailable for approximately one minute while the certificate is installed.
