How mobile ads leak personal data
Free smart phone apps aren’t really free. A research finds that mobile apps can leak your personal, sensitive information from personalized advertisements. Researchers found that mobile app developers, based on those ads, can learn a user’s gender with 75 percent accuracy, age group with 54 percent accuracy and predict income, political affiliation and marital status with higher accuracy than random guesses.
