McAfee Provides Support to Millennium@EDU Program

Today, Millennium@EDU a very special multi-stakeholder initiative that will support education and help millions of students globally launched. McAfee, along with some of the world’s largest technology companies, will contribute technology for the comprehensive “Millennium@EDU Solution Pack” that is being created to give the 15 million students in the program access to information, communication and scientific technologies. The “Solution Pack” includes a computer device, productivity tools, computer security, school server, labware, interactive whiteboards, as well as access to content, training and support for teachers and school leaders.

The program will bring together technology, education and local skilled companies from Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe with the goal to support learning, while providing the necessary tools to improve and protect the quality and access of educational materials. Companies involved in the program include McAfee, Bibright, Caixa Magica, Critical Links, ECS, e-xample, Inforlandia, Intel Corp, JP – Inspiring Knowledge, Leya, Microsoft Corp, One Global Economy, Orange ITS, PASCO scientific, SanDisk, Triple C, Videonet and Vye Pakistan.

McAfee is thrilled to be providing the necessary tools needed to safeguard the new devices and protect the students and teachers as they access information and content. Plus, the program is in line with what McAfee is doing around education and kid’s online safety.
