Major Renovation Scheduled for Willard Fiber Optic Hub Facility

Beginning in mid-June, and continuing for 11 nights, a major renovation of the Willard fiber optic hub site will take place. This work will involve the move of all existing fiber facilities to a new row of racks in the same room. At the same time, routed service customers on Willard2 will be moved to the new Willard3 Brocade router, while fabric service customers will be moved from Willard2 to Willard4, a legacy Cisco router that will be configured to supply layer 2 services. Due all fiber optic facilities being affected over the course of 11 night’s work, some customer’s service may be affected on more than 1 night. If you are the owner of circuits/services affected by this work you will be contacted several days in advance, directly via email, with the exact day(s) that your circuits/services will be affected. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the TNS NOC at 814-865-4662.
