ITS outlines plan for ANGEL during finals week Apr. 30-May 4

The ANGEL Import Console and Export Console tools will be available during finals week April 30-May 4. However, in the event of performance issues, Information Technology Services (ITS) may restrict or reduce their availability.

If ANGEL becomes inaccessible during finals week, faculty may wish to contact their students via e-mail. Faculty/instructors can e-mail their class via a listserv specifically created for their course in ANGEL. Faculty can access their course listservs by going to https://www.work.psu.edu/ and selecting \”Your Class Mailing Lists.\” The course listservs will be available for use through May 4, 2012. The instructor of record will be able to e-mail directly to the listserv. To prevent misuse of the list, e-mail recipients can only respond by e-mail back to the sender. Note: A user enrolled in the ANGEL course roster via a Friends of Penn State (FPS) account will not receive an e-mail from the course listserv unless that user has manually entered a valid e-mail address in his/her ANGEL profile.

In the event that ANGEL experiences performance problems, ITS staff will take additional measures to temporarily remove access to nonessential features from the ANGEL My Profile page to alleviate load. Read more at http://tlt.its.psu.edu/about/news/2012/its-plan-for-angel-during-finals-sp12 for details on accessing your course listservs and a list of nonessential ANGEL features.
